Apropos to everything, but in particular on my mind tonight, is a Chinese proverb (is it really? I always see it referenced as an “old Chinese proverb,” but is that Western, modern, bullshit?) that says:
“The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is now.”
I hope I can keep that in mind.
