They’re really quite amazing machines when you stop to think about it. They have to be able to spray, rub, brush, and clean on articles of different sizes and shapes within a broad range of parameters. They have to do it for hours and hours a day with as little downtime as possible. Plus, out here in the land of drought and the bleeding edge of environmental concerts, they have to do it while capturing, filtering, and reusing the water while simultaneously capturing the byproducts.
Robots, man! Once we get self-driving cars (and they might be closer than we think, we won’t even have to drive through ourselves. We’ll just tell the car to go get itself washed, it will trundle off for a while, and then it will come back home clean.
Welcome to the future.
